Songwriting.

I like both Acoustic and Electric music to listen too.By Electric I mean amplified music.I love Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple for example.My main interest is Acoustic music though.I most enjoy playing the Acoustic guitar,and writing songs on my acoustic guitar.My main musical tastes now revolve around acoustic music.I find it very enjoyable to pick up a guitar and strum away.It is even better when a song comes out!

As for songwriting,I always start out trying to find a sequence of chords and sounds that have harmony together.I am not ready to write a song until I am satisfied about the chord changes I will be making in the song.I also have to have the guitar chords into the shape of a three to four minute song,ie with a beginning and a middle and an ending.Only then can I begin to write the words.Usually I can write the chords in 2 hours and the words in about 1 hour.Add another 2 hours for recording and mixing and in about 5 hours I can have a finished 4 track demo recording of a new song.

I am not saying this is the right way or the best way only it is MY way and the method I am most comfortable with as a songwriter .

Songwriting is the thing in life I enjoy the most outside of my family.I have such a great sense of satisfaction when a song is completed and the feedback starts to come in.I hope you enjoy my songs too and will give me some feedback as to what you think.
